I've just come across Webbs Crk Ferry heading west & it's barely spitting. Was a bit wet between Dural & Wisemans but having a splendid time. More mist than anything, well at the moment at least.

My wife's just texted saying its pouring at home though (Kensington).

Off now to Wheelbarrow Ridge Track etc.

I think I'm going to skip the Bilpin ride too, going out now to some tracks closer to home around watagans through to wisemans, hopefully beat the rain forecast for later.

Tracks are a little slippery, probably not a good day for the heavier DS bikes on 50/50 tyres. Havin fun on the 630 though!

Ok so today didn't work out so well. How about Hill End next weekend???
I'm thinking an over nighter.
I'm thinking meet Richmond, up Bells Line, turn off at ZigZag down to Lidsdale via Blackfellows hand track. Lidsdale to Capertee, Capertee to Sofala via Turon Gates and then Sofala to Hill End. Stay in either the pub or the holiday ranch. Back home on Sunday via the bridle track???

Well went out today, was planning on Glaston gorge out to wisemans but a crash in the gorge made Pacific Hwy more attractive. Was the only one at the Road Warriors Cafe, very strange feeling. Did a few trails off the side of George Downs Drive and into Wattagans before returning home via pacific hwy. Good 280km day in the rain with only one slip over when trying kick side stand up. Also got water in or broke my side stand switch, engine was miss firing a lot until I pulled the switch plug. Strange that it felt like only one cyl wasn't firing. I was starting to think it was the Hall sensor, being original and 135,000km old.

Do you know whether this track leads anywhere or just peters out? I went down it once, for quite a distance, but turned back as I was by myself & it would have been a kong haul out if things went awry.

Thanks Wayne, was curious as to where it led, thought it may have eventually looped around somewhere but appears not. The part I rode was quite easy, so it obviously gets tougher further in. Looks like it could leave the TE with a few battle scars!

Hi Mike,
I can't that weekend. You could do a part ride with some of us next Saturday. See the Hill End post. Maybe you could do the Blackfellows hand track section then head home. It's not to difficult and there's some spectacular rock formations to perv at.

It ends with a big hill. Lots of good little climbs on it, some with rock steps that are fun to ride off on the way down. It starts easy then you go left down a hill, then it gets fun one hill has about 20 drops on it, you can play on that hill, till your arms fall off Take water & tubes
