No it was totaled officially yesterday. Bad thing is I didn't know you could have insurance on a utility trailer, so it is not covered and is also totaled. I should have a new ride and trailer by the end of next week.

Anyone that does alot of trailering might want to learn from me and get insurance on the trailer.

Thanks for the invite!! It all depends on work as it looks like I may be busier that last year..:clap

Sorry to hear about all that damage, but at least you are ok and a truck and trailer are easier replaced than a person. Insurance is a good idea..

About 15 years ago, I also blew a tire on my trailer and fortunately I was doing only about 45 MPH. I felt the trailer starting to wobble as the tire bulged before it blew.
Salt water rots the steel belts inside the tires and now the new trailer tires are nylon belted only.

I blew a trailer tire sometime last year at about 70 mph. A large chunk of tire passed the truck. I saw it shoot past my window right after I heard the bang.

No drama, just pulled over and changed it. I don't think my trailer tires are rated for over 55 mph. :lol3

Next to bearings, tire inflation pressure is the most overlooked item on trailers. Most of them require 50 PSI and some even more. Just yesterday I checked mine and the were 10 PSI low..

I had the Ducati and F 650 on the open trailer headed to GA a few years back. Of all places to blow a trailer tire, I had to be in the next to left lane just starting across the I-295 St Johns River bridge. Crossed the three lanes to the right side emergency lane without a collision. Although Courtney who was about 12-13 at the time was about to freak out. :lol3 That's a looonng bridge to cross at less than 5 mph in the emergency lane.

I usually don't go over 40 psi on trailer tires unless I'm hauling weight

Fifty PSI in junk tires is a lot

Although the trailer John was pulling with his atv I'd have had 50 in the tires

It's been two weeks now since my Dad fell again

This time he broke his pelvis

Back in rehab for a couple of months

    Seems to be never ending

He was transferring from his Electic Wheel chair over to his recliner and just fell on his arse :becca

Just got off the phone with him, he says he needs more tooth pics but I checked yesterday and...WTF! :rofl

You have to laugh if you can't cry, right?

Anyway, Scrub is a go this year and I can't wait :freaky

    Oysters this coming WE

    Superbowl isn't it?

Got another dead oak in our front yard

Last year while the black folks across the street had a huge party

Rented tent and big screen TV

We burn't a stump and drank a sheet pot load of beer :slurp

Looks like a repeat this year

Except that Hailey is having friends over for a movie marathon Saturday

House full of 14 year olds

Think I'll clean the Mako while we're burning the stump and roastin' oysters :freaky

    Scrub Menu:

Most likely sausage and Mac-n-cheese Friday

Boston Butt Saturday in lieu of ribs, so much simpler :lol3

Depending on when everyone plans to show and leave

We'll do chicken and rice/paella one night

I really don't care, suggestions are always welcome :dg

Scrub... I was wondering if it was a "go" this year...

John, you can insure the trailer AND all the contents of the trailer. I had my landscape trailer and everything in it insured.

Yup, lesson learned, just left the State Farm and got my check, I am picking up the Armada in an hour. I will buy a new trailer this week and get it insured. I already have the rzr fully insured.

Glad to hear there will be a "Scrub" this time around. The menu as planned looks really good, too.

Maybe I can get a dog-sitter for the hound and pry Beth out of the house and bring her up. She always complains that I get to go and have the fun while she's stuck tending the dog. :1drink
