Yeah I was disappointed on not finding one while I was up there. Whoever that masked man is, he could make a lot of motorcyclists happy as well as a little coinage to market Dempster stickers....

As Cubdriver eluded to, I've been spending a bit more time with my new "riding partner" Pam.

She's planning on joining here soon but how bout I post up photos of her and her bikes anyway?

At last Spring's Bike Show Pam saw the lovely white Ducati Monster 696 and had to have it. She then rode it almost daily rain or shine thru the summer.

You can imagine my surprise and joy when she said that even tho she loves her Monster she wondered if she maybe shoulda gotten a dualsport.

We started shopping Craigslist and found a nicely farkled and lowered KLR out in the Valley that a dad had bought to ride with his son a couple years back. It's an '01 with under 14,000mi. We went up Arctic Valley road for here first dirt ride and she did great. The road had even been recently bladed and was pretty "loose and marbley" but she said she still really enjoyed it. She's very excited about doing D2D.

Happy girl with new bike the day she got it.

And I just gotta say it, we both also really do enjoy an occasional 2-up ride.

Quite the contrary, thank you. I've had folks wondering if I was someone "famous" whenever my hair is long, especially in smaller towns.

lol Those pics are a couple years old. Pam married another guy a few months after those pics were taken. Besides a monster diamond, I heard he bought 2 new KLR's and they were gonna do D2D but never saw 'em. I'm very grateful for the time her and I spent together. Fun!

DANG, I just checked and it looks like I haven't posted on here myself for a couple years!

So.....

My latest bike acquisition, a 2011 HD Softail Deluxe. Footboards replaced with pegs and pinstriped by Brian Saupe of Custom Crafts Unlimited. This bike has been THE most fun I've ever had just going the speed limit.

And I had the VERY good fortune of being able to ride my '05 Triumph Daytona 955i SE on what I'm calling THE finest paved road in all of AK this last summer.

It's a brand new road on Annette Island, AK's only Indian Reservation, located just south of Ketchikan. Good times. Mark H.

im too smart for chrome I use neon now ... i lost hp with chrome ... i stopped using chrome after my Harley days lol ..

Besides thats a Hoyt strapped to that bike only smart guys use Hoyt lol ...

Man that whole trip was epic i so badly want to do it again !
