Trans Taiga to Churchill Falls?

I've seen mention of this routing, but never more definitive info. Anybody got specific details (e.g how to book, how much, where does it pickup/drop, or GPX for the road?)

as others mentioned you could get a float plane to fly you from the end of the TT to near Churchill and combine it for a great loop of Quebec. Also there is a LONG hydro line that connects the TT to the North road. When you get up there its on the Hydro maps and no others.

Air Sanguenay flies float planes out of both Caniapiscau (end of the TT) and Labrador City. I doubt its cheap.

That would be the best way for sure, I only wish I knew more about it when I was up in those parts in 2009. Would make a real nice loop not having to backtrack the TT. The power line route would be little less than a full on expedition requiring loads of resources and/or some of the best luck in the World, kind of a road when they built the line it but now probably barely a track for whatever little maintenance issues arises.

There is no overland way to get from the Trans-Taiga to the Trans-Labrador Highway, aside from backtracking and going around. No idea whether those float planes would be able to carry a motorcycle.

I've heard some very vague rumors that there's been some thought put into extending the TT to Schefferville, from which there's train service to Labrador City (might even be possible to ride along the tracks). But if that ever happens, it won't be anytime very soon...

I know the plane is powerful enough to haul it once you got it through the doors. This one was up there when I was there in 2009:


The overland routes they speak of our the cross country powerlines that cut off from the damns along the TT, theoretically they had access roads to build them in the first place, and a person might be able to somehow traverse them, doubt Quebec Hydro would like it.
