BMW R1000RR HP4 and the Ducati Multistrada use Sacks suspension on the adaptive suspended units. Ohlins now has adaptive suspension in a rear shock, TTX36, but I do not believe for the forks at this time.

Pebble -
How about confirming the stator output? I'd also like to know how buzzy the bars are compared to a 950/990. I've had two 950s and the last one (an Adventure) had enough handlebar buzz to make my right wrist sore. [Keeping in mind that a serious cage accident in 02 resulted in having my wrist fused so it's a unique problem.]

I've got a pin holding my scpahoid together, i think it's more the bend than the buzz. There's way to much sweep in those bars.

I'd changed the bars, installed Rox risers and Dakar grips. The frequency of the buzz treated the metal bar in my wrist like a tuning fork.

I am more interested in how it all feels when you are not in a rush. Is the PR guff about how relaxed the engine feels justified?

Agree, better to keep it simple, if its not reliable under off road conditions, leave it off

It could be an option, for those of us who dont go on Africa touring, and are brave enough to try new inventions. ![]() Suspensions settings change the behave of the bike alot. Call me lazy, but i think it,s boring to change suspension settings. If it could be done with a flick of a switch, i be doing it a lot more, enyoing the bike more. A true progress! I.m not afraid of electronics, and in all my cars and bikes over the years i never had any big problems with electronics, the 10 latest year cant rememer any. Do you miss ignitions with contacts? Carburettors?(well some 990 owner do,wich is caused by emission requirements, not by electronics) and soe on. Well, I have missed this on my 990s, and hoped the new one had it

If you don't plan on doing serious off-road why would you buy the R unless you like the look,
The dynamic suspension is standard here in the UK, if you don't want it you have to order a bike without it, this decision seems to have made late on as it wasn't specified when it was announced on the KTM site,I'm guessing people are either asking for it or the new GS prices were announced and KTM decided the price with was still competitive, Sent from my Sony Ericssonarc s using Tapatalk 2 |

The KTM UK web site currently states £12595 for the standard bike and £13095 for the same with the electronic damping system (and tyre pressure monitor). AFAIK these prices are the same as originally quoted on their site at the time of launch.
