Kentucky/ Tennessee Dual sport Rides

I've never riden in the area and while driving through on the way to Disney World I couldn't help but to dream of riding in some of those hills. So I'm wondering if there are any Rallies or riding get togethers during the summer. I ride a DRZ400 and WR250f and so I enjoy getting into the rough stuff, not so much pavement and gravel roads, for a few days.
Last year the family went to the Black Hills and it was a lot of fun. There is some crazy single track. Anyways I'd just like to see what some of the dirt is like in other parts of the country.

Yea there's a ton of good dual sporting in the East-West NC area.

Twisty pavement
Forestry service roads
Dirt

All you can eat if you hook up with the right guys.

Just snoop around some of the rallies that are posted here in the SE forum. Stuff happening all the time

Not Tennessee or Kentucky, but http://www.trailsheaven.com/.

There used to be a national dual sport event in Renfo Valley, KY, but I don't see it on this year's schedule.

You might want to google "spring trail ride at Loretta Lynns" and also "LBL 200". I rode Loretta Lynns last Fall & had a blast. Haven't riden the 200 yet but, that could change soon.

I found the Middle Tennessee Dirt Rider's website and the Loretta Lynn's spring ride. Looked like a lot of fun but with the kids in school it would be difficult. We have an event similar to that in Minnesota, not as big, but there are about 500 dirt bikes there each year. I love motorcycles but the noise gets to me after a whole day. Of course I still go every year.
Wow, the trails in West Virginia look very impressive. I checked out the website http://www.trailsheaven.com/. I could see being very disappointed if I only spent a long weekend there. Looks like each of those trail systems deserve a couple days. I'm so jelous. No wonder so many good riders come from your part of the country. Those trails are actually getting me a little excited.

Red Bird trail above Middlesboro, if you want technical trails. I suggest fresh tires.

I was actually planning to get off the highway at Bowling Green and taking the back roads over to Gorman, Tn.

If you go through there in the next week and the sign is missing...

Mammoth Cave Nationsl Park. Several different tours of the cave system to do. Some as short as an hour or less. Interesting fact.....it is 55degrees inside the cave, year round. This time of year you can go inside and actually warm up!

Several good BBQ places along the side roads in that area as well.

The Land Between the Lakes seems to be a popular area. I noticed there is an unofficial get together there May 3-5th. Does the LBL have very difficult riding. I quickly checked it out on line and while driving through but most of the riding seemed to be more oriented to ATV and gravel roads.
