I weighed 144, same as now, same as when I graduated from HS
![]() The YZ pix are of my lightweight friend Scott. He was a tech at Wayne's, I took the pix while he was racing it, bought it from him shortly after this race. He installed laydown shocks just before I got it, not in the pix. That YZ was a great bike. |

My first bike, after I cleaned it up, swapped out some parts and had it painted, probably around 1992. Location is a barn near the Greenwood Grocery out on 250.

New to Thread
Live in Richmond, VA and looking to ride out near C'ville. Aside from BRP and Skyline Dr. where are some good trails to ride out there without getting locked up.

My favorite places are the jeep road off Coal Rd at Sherando (better to ride that with a buddy in my opinion but lots of riders do it alone. I wouldn't but I'm the careful one here), any of the gravel roads north-west of Earlysville (from my starting point) up along Flattop, and everywhere around Rapidan up near Madison. Usually meandering will get you pretty much anywhere nice as long as you are ok with a mix of pavement and dirt. The guys on this thread know the area much better than me, but these are my favorite places. Post when you are in the area!

Fire Road Riding in Madison
I'd like to try my (new-to-me) 300EXC on some fire roads in Madison. It's not tagged yet, so I'll have to haul it the Foad. I'm thinking of packing a lunch and trying to make a day of it. I'm working on getting my lights, etc hooked up over the next several days. When I'm done it will at least look legal.
![]() Thinking of riding the FR's from the saddle at Blakey and then possible loading up and heading over to RWMA above Graves Mill. Feel free to PM me. Hondas are welcome too.

Hey Buckaroo, I'd love to, How's about next Saturday, Feb 9, in the AM?
Great opportunity to give you your disc lock back at the very least. With you on something so light I might have trouble keeping up with you. You are by for more experienced than I on the trails, but that 950 at least kept it close to even. So anybody else with a big(ger) bike want to join us that would be fine with me. J.R.

I might be up for that. Been itching to ride my 525. I'll let you know as we get closer to the day in question.

Works for me, however I've seen you ride, you can probably leave me in the dust.
