Actually it was only 1479 miles back from pensacola.lol. We went and got it last week and rode home mon-thursday. It was an awesome experience! Glad to see you're back on the horse!

My photo was going to be inside the museum parking lot with the Nautilus in the background but I got there after they were closed so I took it outside the fence in front of the sign.


I then drive up the road, see the turn off for the parking area where you can see the sub, figure that's gotta be an original shot, and two of you have used the exact same location before . Guess I gotta go back to finding cows standing next to random fences.

I wish I could get over there. I can't even get out of my driveway. It stays iced over at least a week after Jamestown and Newport have melted and dried up. Got all dressed up yesterday to ride thru the snowy woods to get to dry pavement and TW wouldn't start. Ran a week ago so I suspect ice in the tank valve or carb.?? Got a light bulb on it tonight.

Or maybe it was the cork in the muffler/exhaust (you know, to keep out the mice and therefore the "roasted Chestnuts". The bikes not the only thing that gets rusty in the wintertime.

This bridge is so new they haven't got the date on it yet. It's directly over a waterfall and has a cool gorge below but it's all marked No Trespass And No Parking, Really neat to check out after heavy rainfall. This Bridge replaced an old narrow green steel bridge- It should have been colored "SILVER". Good Luck

I didn't today but I have in the past, I only had a short window of opportunity to get some riding in midday.
While it's nice to have something close it's not nearly enough dirt rd when you consider how much more land MDC has locked up in the surrounding areas, sucks to see all the gates and signs...
