How about some details on your front and rear suspension, and your muffler.
You should start a dedicated thread on your build.
Thanks GG, I appreciate it.

I did start a thread, what the heck, it's winter right?

Looks good the way it is, I like the random pattern.

Its a good thing that I am a very visual person, and that youtube video

It wasn't too hard, but some step by step instructions would have made me more comfortable... before I got it totally finished.

About 2/3 the way through I was quite relieved that everything was getting into place.

Thx. I considered the puck mod some time ago. With my suspension setup, I didn't feel that the extra inch of sidestand height was feasible. Sits pretty upright already.

Can you feel a difference in the handling with 9 holes in that footplate?

Great job on the plate mod, the KLR's need it, but on a 400 pound bike, I don't know that 9 holes are gonna make it walk on top of sand.... sorry, just had to needle you on that one brother...

You would gain more by keeping the bike clean!

If DirtyDog has the sidestand switch intact then a lighter foot is less likely to cause trouble.

Yeah, you make it sound pretty ridiculous... To clarify, I'm not trying to shave bike weight, but weight on the end of the side stand. I figured that it would sag and "deploy" as I went over rough terrain. I don't need any additional excuses for crashing.

But are they worth the price of making your pee smell funny?
