I can almost guarantee that they will yet again be one step ahead of the testers. It's a complicated thing to test and RB seems to be streets ahead of anyone else in fabricating carbon fiber that moves how and when they want it to.

Someone wrote an article (using NASCAR as an example) of the difference between pushing the envelope and cheating. Pushing the envelope is exploiting gray areas or unregulated areas. Cheating is breaking clearly written rules and hoping to get away with it. Red Bull is cheating. And they're forcing everyone else to cheat as well, since that's the only way to keep up with them.

it reminds me of that Gordon Murray documentary (How to Go Fast and Influence People. The Gordon Murray Story.) talking about the "fan" at the back of one of his designs to create downforce but explained off as being there for cooling... and the ride height of cars changing when driven at speed vs static testing in paddock. "if you can't catch them.. then it must be OK" attitude.

Is there anything in the current reg's that allow the FIA to "seize" a car from park firme and drag it to a wind tunnel?

Let's make it Ferrari's wind tunnel, just to really get the hounds barking. And amazingly it would be on the one day a week it apparently is operating flawlessly.

Mercedes is HQ'd in Brackley. One hopes Lauda feels differently about working with Englishmen now, than he did when Jag fired him.
