Hey Ron,

I live in N. Georgia and have to say the Lombard is my go to suit. I wear it year round and and yes in the summer when it's hot it's hot. Though when moving it cools as good as any textile suit and the overall protection is worth the discomfort when stopped in traffic.

Thanks wolftrax, yeah !! your weather is about the same as mine, hot and humid. Say in the winter do you go electric or layer up? and do you have the witer liner?

My zipper jacked up yesterday. It split open (open on both sides of the zipper pull).

I'm thinking it got pinched from me gripping the tank with my legs. I've been noticing sometimes it'll get bunched up at my knee when riding and when I squeeze the tank it digs into my inner knee.

Took forever to get the zipper straitened out and working again. Sucked.

This is only about 350 miles of wear:



That's the fabric that separates the zipper from my gas tank.

Hey Ron

In the winter I just zip in the liner and wear the Lombard over my street clothes. Good to around 25. Any colder than that I'll put my electric vest on. I have Klim gear, Tourmaster, and miscellaneous other gear and I'll be damned that 9 times out of 10 I'll grab the Lombard.

Interestingly enough my low temp tolerance, wearing the same gear, is also 25... Any colder than that and I'm gonna have to buy myself some heated gloves.

Unless the paint on your tank is made of sand paper I bet it was rubbing on something else.

Hey Mark,
I'm in Fl, a little more heat and humidity than you. I'm usually pretty good with my old Darien set, but it's time for replacement. Any experience with a Darien comparison wise? I've been considering the Roadcrafter lite, but this suit looks good. I'm still kind of torn regarding the water repellency / water proofing discussion. I have the impression this suit will vent better and do fine in our semi normal afternoon showers.Has anyone used a wash in waterproofing on this suit, like Nikwax? I have no problem with adding the liner or donning my FroggTogs if it's going to be an all day rain.

If you have no problem with Frogg Togs, then this a more versatile option for sure !
