Are you talking about where the seat bolts go through? If so, I might have a set.

Yeah, this parts shock of mine has not been serviced since it left Japan 30 years ago ![]() I didn't spend a whole lot of time trying to remove the cover, but I think its just pressed on. I was wondering if there was a way to remove it without destroying it. Only thing I could think of was to drill a pair of holes and use the slide puller with the right attachment to yank it off. Having never done the job before, I was hoping someone would chime in and describe the right process. ![]() I was missing one of those fender grommets too for the parts bike. However, I found a usable substitute in one of my bolts lots purchased off of ebay. Which I needed for something else during the rebuild. |

Bruce,
I have the rubber grommets for sure. I'm sure I have the sleeves as well, but I'll have to dig around my shed a little more for them. |

Steve and lambrain- Thanks for looking for those pieces for me. Much appreciated.
velocipus- Not really much more to say than what I've already posted. The swingarm itself is truly a bolt-on. You'll have to use the XL linkage and the XL shock will work too. The biggest thing is welding on brackets to the frame for the disc brake set-up. Good luck with it and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Hey Manos.
![]() I was all set to get the rear wheel mounted up....got some new parts. ![]() The difference between the CR axle (top) and the XRL axle. ![]() But, I ran into problems with bearing and seal fitment on the sprocket side so....I hung the wiring harness... ![]() ![]() ....found the handlebar mounts and bolted them on then went back to the Honda dealer and picked up the best cheap bars money can buy. Remember, I want this bike to look like an XL600R and that means no fancy Fat Bars or anything like that.![]() Not much accomplished and probably didn't warrant any pics but, what the heck, everyone likes pictures.

Bruce,
I was just thinking if you got the rubber bits and collars. Guess I'll have a look at the parts bin. Better late than never eh?

Bruce,
I finally made it to the parts shelf. Think slashing one's way through the thick jungle. Rubber part: 21.5mm OD 12mm thich inner grove is 14mm x 3mm The hole will accept the collar. Collar: Washer end is 22mm overall length is 17mm Hole will accept the 6mm seat studs. I went to take a picture of these bits but the dam battery is dead. Recharging now if you want a pic.
