help with RXC620

I cant seem to find a battery for a bike i bought, 1995 ktm rxc620(kick start only) i keep burning headlight up, i was told i need to get a battery, i was told it works as a voltage regulater, or i can put a inline voltage regulater on, not wanting to screw up a great running bike i dont know where to put it,,, and im not scared to ask.. thanks for any help ypu can give...

I had the same problem with my '95 620 RXC. Bad voltage regulator for sure. My bike would run fine without any battery at all, and still blow the headlight bulb until I replaced the voltage regulator with a unit from Baja designs. Hope that helps.
