Eric's Motorcycles in Pasadena Closing

My Facebook page had this post from Eric's Motorcycles this morning.

"As it stands right now, our last day of regular business is Jan 31, and our "liquidation/retirement/get out of town" sale will take place that Friday and Saturday. Parts, accessories, tools, fixtures, helmets, riding gear, oils, displays, banners, hardware, shelving, motorcycle stands.....everything goes! Thank you for your patronage."

Truely a milestone. Eric Jensen raced Hodaka Trail bikes back in the day.

I wonder if he has one of those super aluminum barrels and heads for Hodaka on the shelf?

Anybody remember these?

Don

Apparently it's due to Eric retiring.

I've moved to LA not too long ago and Eric was the shop i went to for everything i needed or didn't have time to work on my bike. He's nothing but helpful and a really nice guy, so when i went back to pick up my forks and shock for my TM and he told me that he's closing shop, i really was dumbstruck for a second.

I'll be sad to see him go and finding a new shop that will be as awesome as his will be really hard.

Hopefully i'll have enough cash to grab some of his awesome stuff that he has around the shop, though!

I use to stop by during my lunch break. When they closed up...they CLOSED UP!! The only one who might know where Bret went might be Flanders. I saw him in there a few times. Bret tuned up my 990. Yeah, I'd like to stay with the same mech, but I don't know where he went.

This was long overdue.
There have been many threads on how Eric treated his customers.
The shop has been for sale for the last two years that I have known.
Did someone buy it? I think not.
