I raced a 1985 YZ125.....In 1999. I wore dickies cause MX pants were too expensive. The bike had a JT Exhaust that had a variable output thing in it. The muffler often fell off. The forks often stayed compressed after landing from jumps. The bike was serviced by some useless twats at Ron & Brians who charged $700 for a top end. The bike never ran right after we got it back from them. The clutch was so hard to pull in, it was never used. While at a Tony D. MX School @ Azzy, after warmup, the coil decided to die.

If I found another one of those bikes, I'd probably buy it.

Biggest DOG even after every possible high perf was done.
Won my very 1st race and sold it.

I was a mechanic at Ron & Brians from 1997-2000, we really looked foward to working on clapped out 15 year old dirtbikes , but yeah, it sounds par for the course, that was near the end for them, they closed shortly after.

You should have seen the antics that went on when I worked at Banzai in Libertyville after that.
