Not sure about sprint. At&t has better coverage than verizon though in my experience.

I just turn my Sprint phone off unless I'm on Hwy 61. No coverage in Superior National Forest.

Hi Award,
I'm a ATT user up here, but I'm in the tcom biz so to speak, so it's something I watch. It's not exactly what you are looking for, but Sprint's coverage map shows some coverage up this way: LINKY

Sprint customer often roam on AT&T towers, and I can say my AT&T coverage is probably the best their is up north. Still dead spots, but I have coverage almost always along the shore. The forest is hit or miss. Mostly miss as you get farther from townships or highspots.

From the Brownsvillian Memorial Wisconsin Ice Riding Thread. Ice screws at work in southern WI. This is one of the things we should be doing during these cold Minnesota winters.

Probably should make sure it is charged before leaving the house?

Judging by the modern cash register in one of the scenes, I think it's a modern film, but done in 16mm so it has the older look to it.

Mike, I'm with you, I'd like to know where it was at, especially this road:

I didn't catch the cash register. You're probably right. The international road sign caught me, along with the British accents. The film has an "Easy Rider" look to it, which of course, was filmed in the SW and Southern US. They used a lot of that same scenery. Even some of the side road, dirt road playing, along with one of the tricks (standing on the saddle), is "Easy Rider". It was all done with /7, naked, non-stock, rat-bike BMW's, suggesting European.

Want to know if anyone has had any experience with Shoei Vfx-w helmets, ie: fitting. Or ideas on COMPARABLE helmets. Looking at buying one in the next few days.. Before anyone says anything about the cost. Yes they are expensive, but way cheaper than a head CT. Thanks

I'm no help on this subject, as I haven't really tried many new helmets lately - certainly not any higher end models comparable to the VFX-W. I agree though, whatever you pay for a helmet, the cost is nil compared to head injury.

I'm still using my decade-ish old, Thor-labelled, HJC-built helmet. It's comfortable and it's paid for itself many times over, as evidenced by my lack of crash induced head trauma. That said, it's definitely due for replacement - probably by a basic mid range model.

I have the VFX-DT model, and I love it. The exhaust vents on top broke off, ducking under trees, but they still open and close as they were designed. It also has a removable filter right in front of your mouth. If riding in lots of dust, I will keep the filter clean and wet, so more dust sticks to it. I like how certain goggles fit very snug in the opening, almost completely sealing to the helmet, which is great when its cold. I also use it for snowmobiling. I bought mine from a buddys business, http://ocsuperbike.com/shop/. Tell him Alex sent you and see what he can do for ya.

Alex aka "Award900" Have you had any experience with shoei customer service? I see with the helmet I'm looking at it comes with a 7yr manufacture warranty from when it was made and 5yr warranty from the date you bought the helmet. I will be getting in touch with your friend in the next few days. I'll name drop
Thanks Eric
