Foot Pegs

Anybody have or try the Touratech works footpegs or their extended ( wider ) pegs? Thinking about the "works" low pegs.
I have a 31" inseam, after a couple hours slabbing my knees start to complain.. also looking for a wider platform for standing.

Precision Engineering 2" drop

I have the Precision Engineering 2" drop pegs. 2"x4" platform. Great price and tremendous workmanship.

Problem solved.

Haven't had them on every type of trail, but so far have not caught them on anything. I rode a few sections of deeply rutted track and they were not an issue. About the only time I think they could be an issue (which the stockers could be too) is in some baby-head size rocky terrain. I've been riding with a fellow 1200GSer when he has snagged his peg on a rock and broke the frame.

The extra comfort while standing on the pegs made for a lighter touch on the bars (throttle) giving some extra confidence through the slow technical stuff. There is a noticeable decreased knee bend while sitting too. I run hwy pegs on my crash bars and floating my feet between the two on longer rides keeps the blood flowing well.

Have yet to scrape them cornering in the twisties.

They may not be any lower than stock, but the PivotPegz are nice and wide and allow your foot to rotate forward and backward..

I haven't tried to fit pivot pegs on my F800GS, I would love to see some pics of them...

For what it's worth, I absolutely love the pivot pegs on my WR250R. They are super comfortable and durable. When it's wet or muddy the stock pegs on my F800GS (without rubber of course) feel slippy but I never have a problem with the pivot pegs on my WR250R.

brake pedal adjustment?

I am about to order the Precision Engineering pegs but want to ask if the brake pedal can be adjusted or does it need to be to suit the 2 inch peg drop?

First off I wear Sidi Adventure size 46 or US 11.5

Prior to installing the 2 inch drop pegs I had bent my brake pedal outwards and would step on the top point of the left vertical triangle on the brake pedal. This is while standing. I found that after the install of the pegs I was able to more comfortably and accurately use the regular flat part of the pedal.

Can't say I've thought about how it effected pedal use while sitting - so I guess that's a positive.

I did end up moving the shifter one spline lower.

I love these pegs. Huge difference all around.

Though I don't have a picture, I also added a Wunderlich shifter to add some length. The combination is wonderful.

Installed my SW-Motech foot pegs a while ago but didn't report on them. They are 1.5cm (that's what is stated) lower then stock (but you can put them on the same height as stock also), and wider. Didn't like the knee angle on stock pegs so I chose these for the lowering feature and price. I got them for 80 instead of 120 (I love sales ).

I prefer them on and off road. For on road riding they have a cushion type on thing like stock that you screw on.

I have the pivot Pegs Mark III's and love them. I don't have any pic's of them but will try to remember when I get home tonight.

I never really notice the pivoting ..............until I sit on a bike without it.
