I do use nitrogen sometimes actually......but i have 3 tanks at work and it`s free....along with oil,filters.......and alot of things

Simple and easy to make.
Height of stand is 14 7/8" ( length of leg not vert. height )
Angle is 15 deg.
Width is same as frame.

I dont know anybody that uses a commercial one. Had a friend who swore pushing his starter button would change lights faster , but I never tried it.

My wifes car, a 350Z, has tire pressure monitors. The pressure change with nitrogen was a third that of air.
My K1200 has pressure monitors too, but I rarely see one or two psi change with air due to smaller volumn I guess.

Well,i can`t tell you how many times i`ve come to lights in my city at low traffic times to have the lights NEVER change.pisses me off......cops say i have to turn right then go down the street turn arround and come back..then take that right..........just to freekin get where i`m going

I read somewhere that its the moisture in the that causes the rise. I used to shoot my street tires with an infrared gun , but I never tried pressures on hot tires.

In Texas there is an out in the laws for malfunctioning lights. You must wait through two cycles, indicate your intentions, and run the damm thing if safe to do so.
Are we supposed to be talking about this, I mean it's NON XRL, and all?

Yeah, I have been told the same thing. I have gone real goffy with tire pressure of late. Thats not to say i am not pretty goffy to begian with. i now have a digital air pressure gage that reads two decimal points of one psi.

You just said XRL. Close enuogh. On the light thing , I wait a minute , look around and go. But try to tell some self rightious cop about the actual law. To most of them its just a game to bust balls.

Nitrogen is less likely to seep through rubber, and it is an inert gas, so it's volume doesn't change with heat. Moisture has an effect also. Some places don't keep moisture out of their air compressor lines very well and it can lead to more fluctuation with temp changes.

That's how it is here in Oregon as well. If it's a really busy intersection I'll either turn right and turn around, or if I'm in a center turn lane I'll go straight when safe to do so. If it's not busy, or at the highway intersection near my house, I'll wait for a pause in oncoming traffic and run it if it cycles through without letting me turn.

I've found that being in the center of the lane with the front tire right on or right in front of the forward edge of the metal ring it works better than being off to the side edge of the circle. This kinda sucks because of the car oil drippings in the center of some lanes though... XRL

Totally anal air gage. Maybe it's because I have a BMW. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All kidding aside, I have seen a marked improvement in tire life as a result of routine pressure checks and adjustments.
