Is the beak extender a BMW part or Touratech?

Vario Bags

Hey guys.

I usually hang out in the Parrallel Universe but have a specific Single question. I'm selling one RH OEM plastic sidecase from a 2010 G bike for a friend. The parts fiche lists two different bags, one for the older F bikes and early G, then another bag for 2010 +. It looks like the same bag I had on my Dakar but all plastic.

My Q is, will the new cases with the black lids fit the older bikes with the silver aluminum lids? Kinda like an updated look for the older F's.

Thx.

Which bag exactly is that? Would you recommend it? And what is the leather thing on top of the triple tree? Edit: never mind that, looks like a keychain :)

its a
bag connection "city" evo as here
http://www.twistedthrottle.com/bags-...ounting-system

the size is what i wanted for my needs but there is a larger one as well
this is expandable but you need a rain cover [supplied with it]
i like the ease of fitment and its off the tank with the locking ring so hopefully no scratching of the paintwork with it

and yes its a keyring pouch

It's a Two Brothers w/stash pipe Steve, it's from NB's website, so the info is probably there. I know there was a aftermarket dual exhaust avail but I haven't found it. NB has done extensive work on his GS/Dakar Conversion and was meticulous in documenting it all so it should be there. I think it's one of the most beautiful bikes (the red/black combo) out there.

nomad5326 thanks for the heads up of NB's site, I have never seen it before. I think I will be investing in one of his crap flaps. Cant go wrong for ten bucks.

Don't think NB sells the flaps anymore.

Seats

I thought I'd post some info I have here... most of the traffic is on the Sertao thread.

If you want to see the difference between the standard OE seat and the OEM Tall seat, here it is... I did this once for the windshields too... I hope this helps.

Tall

Cheers

So is the tall seat more comfortable? I'm guessing they use the same pan and more foam to get the tall. I would like more height, but need more comfort. It only takes about an hour before my natural padding lets me know it is done.

Yeah the Tall is actually way more comfortable.. and doesn't "push" you up against the fake gas tank if you know what I mean. Not as much anyways.

Now I just need to find one without paying an arm and a leg. I don't feel like paying for a Corbin or similar right now. Maybe after another full day of riding I'll feel like forking out some cash.
