Dungey has been more aggressive these last few years. Ask Brayton. |

Where were you guys last week??? Dungey got slowed way down in that 2nd turn crash, then from a way back 12th place came through the pack to 3nd place. He was the fastest guy on the track many laps while working his way through the pack.. Without that mess he would have either passed or been right on 'poto's fender. Carnard similar but from 16th place. . |

Sorry, I didn't see last week's race. But if Dungey is suddenly able to cut through the field like RV or Stewart (back in the days when he used to win
), then that is a brand new skill that he has never had before. If so, that's great. But I can recall many races when Dungey would just continue to follow a guy like Metcalf for lap after lap after lap, waiting for a mistake that never came, and ended up finishing behind him. It's been his achilles heel. If he has overcome that, then watch out. I hope he has. |

He hasn't yet learned to quickly cut through the pack but he is doing better than in the past. Even then he is not consistent at coming from the back, last week he made it to 3rd but he did spend more time passing much slower riders than other top riders. We'll see in a couple more hours, the top 5 riders were all in the same second in qualifying practice today. . |

Dungey only 7th in Q, 1.3 sec off JS and over a second off Tomac. Tomac and Roczen are the 2nd and 3rd fastest bikes on the track! RV 2nd 450, Grant 3rd!, Millsaps 4th.

I may need to change my prediction that it's Dungey's night. He has not been the usual Mr. Consistency so far this season. Wonder if it's that air suspension? Are they still running that? Barcia is also off the pace a bit (for Barcia )But qualifying is not racing so the night is still up for grabs. . |

Looks like Dungey's air shock went all Land Rover on him in his heat.

You don't want that landing from a jump, or going through the whoops. Maybe the AMA should make a rule requiring springs.
They talked to Roger D. and he confirmed an air shock problem. I see on Racerxill that Roger signed a contract extension through '16. He seems to be the type that wouldn't be happy in retirement. |
