I just want to thank EsconDeasy for replying to my post and showing me around the Wildcat trails. I wish I could spend all winter riding around there. Thank you to the folks at Extreme Arizona, the bike and hospitality was great. Cave Creek was a great town, I especially liked the burger at Big Earls and my tour through the Rare Earth Gallery.

http://goo.gl/maps/B39kO It's about as good as your going to do without crossing private land (mine included). Suggest one of these... http://www.maps.com/map.aspx?pid=800 It can be real handy.

Any Super Enduro guys need a bigger tank? I have a Supermoto tank and seat that fits the SE. Comes complete with the fuel pump, petcocks, etc... I don't want to have to deal with shipping since it has had fuel in it. $500 and local pickup.

Crown King back way from Lake pleasant
After being off the bike for sometime because of work, cold, snow, rain, etc.
Tomorrow Saturday I am going to Crown King back way from Lake pleasant. If anyone wants to join me, be at The Wild Horse West at 9:15am. We will be leaving at 9:30am. The ride is Big bike friendly with chances for difficult areas after the heavy rain. The Wild Horse West: https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&i...33933443795964 |

Event for Tom Mueller Inmate (GTano)
Hello fellow GS Riders. There is a fundraiser for a fellow inmate next weekend. It is going to be held on Feb 10th 2013. The event is starting at 12:00PM but dinner will not be served until 5:00PM. It will be a full BBQ dinner with homemade brisket and all the sides. There are many items up for silent auction and raffle to help raise money for his medical bills. Its a good cause with Good food and fellow riders.

I know I'm the new guy, but I run a local car club/forum, so take these suggestions as you will, but I have a few thoughts that could help this group.
I'm wondering if someone would want to change the first post to reflect the current status of this group? For new guys (such as myself) that's where they turn for group info. Maybe show the new meeting dates and times, if that's what you guys are choosing to run with? Otherwise it will be hard for new guys who might just want to drop by sometime. For myself, I was going to drop by the Tatum meet, until I was told it doesn't happen any longer. I noticed that the yahoo group thing is not so good, because it seems to just be spam. Maybe this could be changed? Or maybe it's just not needed or necessary anymore? With our car forum new members have to be approved before they can join, which drops our spam down to near zero. A friend runs a Yahoo group as well, and his also requires approval, which seems to work well. I wouldn't mind receiving emails once in a while regarding upcoming run reminders, but just don't want the spam to fill up the inbox. Maybe start a forum just for the AZ locals? Maybe it's not necessary, but it seems that with 560 pages of posts for just this group, there should be enough traffic to justify it. I know on places like Thumpertalk, you can do sub-forums within that site. Maybe AdVrider does the same thing? As it sits, things like for-sale items are buried in with ride info, pictures, and other posts. Or, maybe I should just keep my mouth shut? Me and a buddy will be taking our KLR's out this weekend. Not sure where yet, but I'm guessing either Horseshoe lake, or Seven Springs. He rarely takes his KLR out of town, really because he has had nobody to ride with. For me, it will be the first ride with my new KLR. So something easy is a good idea. I'd like to stop by the breakfast meets sometime, but I'll probably wait until the weather gets a bit warmer. I used to ride everyday to work years back, and always hated riding when it's cool/cold. So maybe in a few weeks I can meet up with you guys. |

The ride was excellent. What a Beautiful day. We encounter some heavy traffic and decided to return in a different Way.
We ride in a KTM 450exc and a KTM 530EXC. We have a lot of fun riding today and when off road all the way to 74 and Lake Pleasant road on some rocky sections. Yes, it is a big bike friendly with some water crossings and some rocks as usual. We hit Snow, Ice, Water and Dust. I will say the best time of the year to ride in that area. |
