I think it's likely a good thing to petition, although the corn and ethanol lobby seems to be quite strong. Not a good reason to accept it, though. A better thing might be to oppose the presence of lobbyists and corporate money in politics. Then, a lot of shit that isn't good would go away. This might belong in the politics forum?

I am fortunate enough to have a gas station two blocks from my house has ethanol free fuel which is the only thing I use now (unless I'm on a ride and can't help it). Extremely fortunate since I did not have this option in Charleston, SC.
