Crashbar SW-Motech BMW G650 gs 2012
I just bought a 2012 G650GS and I am new to the sport. I want to protect the engine and bodywork and the SW-Moteck looks like it might do both. Does anyone have any experience with the SW-Motech crash bar or have a better one to recommend. Are there any problems with installation of the crash bar and removing the frame bolts?

I have the SW Motech crash bars on my 2012 G650GS and I'm happy with them. They seem very solid. I haven't dropped the bike yet so can't comment on their effectiveness. A friend installed them for me but basically you have to replace a couple stock bolts. The only issue with it was that if you have a touratech skid plate, you have to move some washers on the skid plate to get both to fit. Here is a pic.

I'd like to see some more pictures of these bars on this particular model. Especially if used in conjunction with lower crash bars as well.
If anyone has the time to post it would be appreciated.

[/IMG]I have had no issues with the Motech crash bars. I cant comment on the install, my mechanic buddy installed them for a case of Miller light..

Happy Trails bars work well and I like the look a little better.
