That carb is too short and the intake bell is too small. I doubt you are getting a good seal and that the rubber boots are going to last malformed like that.
If you want to do it properly you can get an adapter ring that will adapt it to the intake bell size of the gen II carb (bolt-on bell) from Noss Machine or have a friend with a lathe make you one, not a complex piece. I thinks it's worth a few extra bucks to be able to trust the seal rather than risking your engine ingesting dust or sand.....

FCR identification
hey guys, does anyone know of a guide to help one identify what model FCR carby I have... is there a guide (with pictures) somewhere that can help me... I've got an FCR and have no idea what bike it's off
