Mike, here's my HP2 tool roll:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...7&postcount=11 No single source for the tools -- just pieced together from what I most commonly used during maintenance. |

tools
wow thats some extensive stuff. Im thinking as long as i can change a flat I'm good and so I'm thinking any of the commercially available kits would do the trick. Cruz tools seems cheap and at the other end the bmw dakar toolkit . thanks for all your tips guys.

Pity about the 'clashing' riding kit

Rallye Pro 3 is the best IMHO ... the blue/red looks cool with the HP2 as well.
(The KTM one looks a bit safe my bru )

tool roll
I use the hp2 fanny pack that came with the bike. It goes right where the charcoal canister went. The waist belt clips right around the fender. Works great and matches the bike. Richard

The more I look at the HP2, the more I hope that one day I'll be able to join "the club" and park one next to my 2012 GSA ... That's when patience and hope comes to mind ... but hope is what keeps us going right ? ...

This is a great list, thanks. This just about covers everything.. I carry a couple 4"X6" squares cut from milk jugs for rim protectors and 2'x2' square scrap of light wt tarp as a work bench. I will be sorting my tool bag using your list!

Do not forget a spare plastic 'wallet key" = mine is taped with duct tape permanently under one of the side covers.

Spare tube mounting
On the topic of tools and spares, here's cute way to carry spare tubes.
Front tube ![]() Rear tube ![]() Note my bike has a Turntech LFP battery that's smaller than OEM and left a nice void in the battery cradle area, just big enough for a tube. I just stuffed the tube in there and it hasn't moved an inch. It all passed a good field test last week in Baja... ;) ![]() Kurt |
