Next spot

Alright, had it not been so cold/starting to flurry I might have taken this one a bit further. It's ~20 mi from the D-Day Memorial. My ride ended up being 70+ miles I think. Also, goose, I felt like an ASS digging around in the bushes in front of a sign for a National memorial. Thanks for that.

If I need to make things any clearer, let me know. Here's where the RAT is now:

That's what you need to find the RAT.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you follow that road in the last pic it takes you up to the BRP, but it gets a little hairy and I didn't attempt it for fear of ice, etc. I did follow it 2 miles up until this sign but I've been up it before... when it was warmer. Have fun! BTW, the RAT is behind the left post when you're facing the sign. I buried it under some leaves:

Good show Mava.
If I went for this tag I would take Wheats Valley road , It turns to gravel just past the reservior. Be sure to stop at Gross orchard for some cider on the way.
If you decide to take Overstreet Creek to the parkway it does get a little ruff towards the top so if you are on a street bike I would take it slow

A street bike? Not sure how you're defining 'street bike' but I don't think I'd take anything more street-oriented than a Versys up there. It might be fun to watch a CBR struggling to get up there though.

You ever been to this Watson's Pond? 37.484583,-79.549074

Satellite makes it look like there's some path to it, but I never noticed it...

I've taken my cbr954 up worse at Uwharrie national forest. As long as it was dry and dusty you'd be amazed at how well lots of hp and no weight does.

;-)
I got some very evil stares going around guys on dirt bikes. :-)

When you pass a cbr with a husky smr510 in the turns you get some nastiness as well Ok i'm done with my bike smack talk. Wow the weather is not looking too bad the next few days. Unfortunately I plan to go long with the rat if i get it so i need the proper timeframe.

Finally finished moving in my new home. My new location helps center me in the RAT arena .

Better hide Rat far away, I'll be in the Salem/Covington area this weekend. Who know's where Rat will end up afterwards

You have quite a bit of real estate and insanely remote places to choose from, the possibilities are endless! I zoomed out to the national view with the rat map, it's like the size of a smaller state!

My bike will be in pieces this weekend so it'll probably end up being 70 degrees, you watch! So far so good on the forecast, but I need to bailproof this scooter! I sure would love to head up north and do some kidnapping, then head south, south, then west.
