On my 200 i run a really low fork oil level, on the 950 it's much higher so it's not as big of a deal but the big girl needs all the bottoming resistance she can get |

Not sure you have the quick bleeds or have tried them, but I use them all the time on my SE and they are great. You can feel the suspension load up after a lot of whoops and you can bleed it back down. Obviously the oil gets thinner but I find the fork gets stiffer during a severe workout.

Haven't yet, in Mexico City now, Garry says there is one shop here which sells motocross stuff so we will try them, next best thing is to order out of the US and get them sent ahead of us, trouble is to where for us?

alcohol?
Hey Andi, Scott in Reno here. I'm sure others will chime in but, an old motocross trick for a leaky seal was to put some rubbing alcohol in thru the bleeder. The rubber should swell slightly and reduce the leakage. I would suspect that 1 oz would be plenty.. give it some thought.
good luck, following along Scott |

Not sure but I expect as rotary oil seals are no longer made of rubber...alcohol...
You’re looking for pits; longitudinal slide marks are not really an issue, sound like you need to do a seal job. |
