We are in central Maine, close to Newport, about 1/2 hour from Bangor and about an Hour north of Troy- Troy is really hilly and pretty.

Wow Maine looks great.I looked at your other post and I can't wait to come out and ride our property. My wife and dual sport and atv ride all over Oregon and Northern California. I love here. But Maine look great.

Overall we try to be respectful of the trails and land owners so we can continue to have places to ride.

This thread has me thinking about ATV travel. Has anyone done expedition type rides here? As in multiple day trips? Packing gear for extended journeys?
Is there a market for that stuff? Will there be?

Cool. Are there many people that do that? Is there an ATV-ADV forum?
Most people I see drag a 40ft fifth wheel into the bush and ride for about 2hrs/day for a 3 day weekend. I'd like to try a week trip one summer. I'd have to use my old big red though. It has racks. :) There's lots of fresh water where I would go. The hardest part would be packing enough fuel. I'd have to do a couple 2-3 day trips to sort out fuel consumption. Could you pack for a week without the trailer? |
