Yep, but it's a frustrating exercise grafting an XS motor into one of those frames, plus the bullshit involved with rego/engineering certs, etc. [in NSW] ![]() Rather use post '74 frame, change frontend / rearend, with other heavier/modern units [YZ frontends seem popular] ![]() Cheers Baza

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr650
Hi Hunter
Finally got mine on the road and after 22 years out of the saddle, what a High! This old girl has 95K on clock, 2 years in total retirement and no care. With the fitment of new rear, chain and a few other incindentals I am a purely dedicated Suzi rider. The Wet season waited till I had her on the road but still a great feel, while they all sat back in their air-conditioned cars. I cannot explain the exhileration being the absolute master of my own mobilisation and able to leave them in my wake at our many roundabouts. I'll ride a bike till i'm a hundred or die in the process!!!!!!!!!! How I insert a pic, I have yet to realise, but in the meantime I am in seventh heaven! |

Well if you want proof of how tough these old beasts are, try this on for size
![]() Thought I'd better change the oil & filter on the 'White Beast', no probs, dropped the oil out - 'shit this is a bit dark??', ![]() pulled the paper filter out, using a MikesXS system, 59,500kms marked on the filter, 70,787kms on the speedo, only 6,000kms overdue!!! ![]() I really need a good kick up the arse sometimes, gotta start running logbooks again!!! ![]() Cheers Baza

oh oh, my latest project is the shed find 1974 ish BMW R75/6 bitsa.
![]() It's all there and solid as, no damage or rust, doesn't appear to be very original but it came with about 100kg of spare parts in 4 large crates and a spare R75/7 motor, woo! Looking forward to working on my first European bike, having only previously worked on old British, American and Japanese bikes I can already tell this is going to be civilised and refined. Plan is to just leave it's 70's patina as is and make it a solid club rego bike for rallys and weekends for my father.

You know how it goes. Starts off with an oil change on the BM and you think while I am here. Might as well fix/ or do this.
New parts from the UK. Electronic Bean can (advance and retard) cam chain fork springs. New alternator. ![]() RS on the work bench ![]() New timing chain

Looks like I will keeping the tiger, as I have no bites. I don't know how to say it about the tiger. Too smooth and revy. I was tossing up between a bonnie and tiger and went for a Tiger. I feel I should have stopped at 2 cylinders or something with more feeling than a whistling kettle.
I am not worried if Tiger does not sell as does every thing it says on the box and is well sorted bike.
