registering an imported vehicle in NSW

The vendor tells me that a machine must be inspected and meet commonwealth requirements and then is eligable for reg in NSW with all the usual requirements.

Ha anyone here done this?

This bike is in the country already (presumably legally) I just want to know how I get approved to be registered

I registered a previously approved Funduro and transferred the expired rego to NSW. Had to get a blue slip and the guy doing the blue slip insisted on a police inspection (RMS/RTA said why did he do that?). Bike already had a DOTARS compliance plate though....

You need to get it inspected, I think it's called a blue slip. I got it done in SYD Wetherill Park somewhere.

You also need a sticker which as I remember was a major pain in the a?? because there is only one place in VIC printing them and tey are useless.
