Melbourne Ride Sunday 10 Feb

Hey Guys,

Just a quick should out to see if I can rope any of you into to a ride a few (3) of us are doing one Sunday - you know the saying "the more the merrier".

Two of us will be riding from the Mitcham (Eastern Suburbs), and another from Cranbourne. For now, the plan is to ride from Warbuton to Marrysville, to Narbethong, and then onto Toolangi. Will probably have a lunch in Hillsville.

If you are keen, my number is 0407-970-792.

Ian.

PS

I will probably be heading out to Toolangi on my own on Saturday - if anyone is keen on that as well....

Talking Final arrangements

Hi All, hope the week has been a good one.

Ok, final arrangements for Sunday. We're gonna meet in Warbuton (corner Thomas Ave and Warbuton highway) at 09h30 and ride from there. So far 4, possibly 5 going.

Good one, hoping more will join - you have my number.

Ian.

How did the "noobies" to dirt go on this ride?

I had the impression that it was for people who had not riden dirt before or had limited experience, doesn't sound like it was.

Glad that some at least enjoyed the day. Hopefully everybody did?

I think it probably would have been okay for noobies, as long as you had a true dual sport bike (Tenere, XR600, DRZ400S/E) with 90% offroad knobbies such as the D606s. Except for three really treacherous spots which was steep downhill 80% rocks. Apparently the dirt had been all washed away since the ride leader was last there.

Any non-dualsport bike with less than knobbies was in trouble.

Sounds Like I missed a good one.

Well done for organising that Ian.

How many riders ended up going?
