Safety first
Forget headlights, indicators and brake lights - your horn is the only thing that matters on a bike in Asia! Have fun Kev.

DR is coming along nicely, 2 things that worry me. Still have quite a bit of shavings on the drain plug, and I think that the frame is bent and that's why the swingarm is on a bit of a funky angle. Weird I've never crashed it. Does anybody know if there is a place in Perth that can check and fix that? And any idea about the price? |

Bent frame..Call it customized...
Most simple way to check if frame is bent is string line bike from front rim to back rim both sides..
Then do same from front forks to rear swing arm outer ends. They are never perfect straight,,,even brand new.. Main thing is make sure wheels are parallel, if there not then it will ride like a 3 legged dog.. if they ar parallel and less than 5mm off center no big deal.. more than 10mm and it will handle like a standard harley belt drive..Yep, there not straight..lol This simply results in a bike that will push the front on lefts and tuck the front on rights... We used to get frames bent/straightened over east. I do not no of a frame jig in perth.. |

Bearings
Don't forget to check the swing arm bearings/shaft as well.

Bent frame
Sander,
I got a repairable write off bmw gs frame straightened through Southern river motorcycles in Gosnells. He organised it and I left the bike with him. He was happy to pass the details on and for me to organise but it was easier for me to leave bike with him as I live in bunbury. There was a wait on getting it done. Hope that helps. |

Sorry Instaman, frame straightened and bike re-licensed. It's actually a mates bike who stores it with me and lives in Adelaide. Wouldnt it be great to have a couple of bikes in different states.
Good luck finding a frame |
