Ah. Will a Dunlop d606 fit those wheel sizes? Can't remember... ![]() That's what I've ran on my 650. They're dot approved, I'm sure you already know that though. ![]() Miles

What's the technical difference between DOT and non-DOT tires?

I'm no expert, but from what I've seen it seem to be the ability to handle heat. I've seen non-DOT tires loose lugs rapidly from street riding. My theory is that street riding generates a lot more heat than dirt riding because the speeds are higher, the durations at high speed are longer and the fiction coefficient is higher.

That rear tire will chunk at accelerated hwy speeds. Ton of fun in the dirt though.

Any D.O.G.S. need a very well set up KLR for a very good price? Or do yo know anyone who does? If so send them my way, I've found another bike I think will be "the one".

Looking for riders. I prefer off road and I like challenging stuff, no forest service roads. I'm also up for twisty mountain roads. PM me if you're interested. I'm in Dahlonega but I'm in Helen a lot, Blairsville, Ellijay, etc.
