BMW rondel ?
Greetings,does anyone know where to get a rondel,BMW style,about 63 mm (2 1/2") in dia.
I bought some about 5 yrs. ago from a BMW car dealer.Appeared to be thin sheet alum? About $18.00 if I recall.I stopped at the same dealer today, all they claimed to have was a heavier(thicker) one a bit larger. About $50.00 each. !!! WOW !!. They didn't seem too keen on helping me and the bike dealer has nothing.Same help there.(none). I need two for my tank, and one for the tailpiece.1982 r65ls. Thanks in advance.

Save you the trouble, except they are listed as 70mm in diameter, but that's what it calls for in the parts catalog
46 63 7 686 746 BADGE - D=70MM 3 $13.75 |

I gave up on them years ago. They turn to crap way too fast IMO. I am about out of the Hodaka stickers I have been using for years now. Does anybody know where I can land some DRI skanker stickers! That's what I want to run for now if I could find some.

Thanks guys, Max's will have to do.I was hoping to find something in Cda.Every time I order from Max,
I tend to get some more spare anythings to make the freight, brokerage, etc.worth while.I'm getting lots of spares now. The 70 mm is right.I was going by the cheap, foil decals the PO had stuck on. Only another 60 or so days until it won't freeze at night.Yah!

You can order them at any BMW motorcycle shop, or online from places like Max or Motobins.
Oh, and they are all metric sized. To get ones for your tank, or whatever, just look up your bike in the microfiche and it will have the correct ones listed with part numbers, sizes and prices. |
