It didn't actually hurt, but I was more comfortable front high.

Finally got a chance to wrench a little bit on the bike today and installed my Rox Risers. Very easy and fast process, did not have to re route any cables and there is no tightness issues anywhere. Had to re adjust the V Stream windshield since the bars were raised and the mirrors did not clear when handlebar was turned all the way on either side, but that's it. Will have to "even out" the factory bars mounting brackets also and will take it on a test ride this weekend, I know it'll be a lot more comfortable standing up ...

First bump in the road, I only have today to do the maintenance on my bike and the Antigravity battery I was shipped has reversed terminals.
This is the first explosion.

Since my time is even short today I'll skip the valves and just do the oils and brakes.

Now, it's time to find breakfast.

Oh, and my back is trying to go out again. Should be a great ride Sunday.

Figured out a work around. If I'd been paying attention I could have ordered the battery with the poles where I wanted them, but I didn't and I needed to off the OEM battery.

The OEM,

And the Antigravity,

Sizes:

The problem,

Done,

And now it's time to pack,

Finally..

found the time to remove the rest of the "well grown to the rims" spokes.
My suggestion for anybody trying this is to soak the spokes well in penetrating oil (a week min) and using a lot of heat to get them moving.

Nothing.

At least not until I get a shovel to replace the one I broke this morning.

Bluhduh

I am stuck with the bad weather also so i ordered a TPS Cover, Kick Stand Plate, Oil Cooler guard, and a hard part steering stop, and i have a set of engine guards just sitting in the box. Hopefully i will get a few nice days to put things on when my order gets here and maybe take it for a ride. My PMS ((Parked Motorcycle Syndrome)) is getting kinda bad these days.

Saw all that wasted space where the evap canister would normally sit and decided I needed a way to
make use of all that room, so got down to cutting and bending. Pretty happy with the recovered space and
the holes will make attachment of what ever I want to install there a breeze.

Started with a brand new 2012 R1200GS Rallye Edition with 30 miles on the clock (I put 28 of those miles on it breaking it in). Installed Wilbers WESA 35mm lowering shocks AltRider lower and upper crash bars, OEM GSA style additional headlight harness and switch, temporarily mounted the OEM fogs from my 2010 GSA (They will soon be replaced with Clearwater Kristas), latched on the custom shaped and covered Saddlemen Adventure Track low seat, and changed the oil and filter to get rid of initial bits and pieces from manufacturing process.

Best of all I then handed the keys to my wife and said “have at it”. She only got to put a couple of hundred miles on it over the weekend, but she hasn’t stopped grinning yet.
