Took the Zuma out multiple times over the weekend. This thing is just awesome for running around town.

I also ride a Goldwing and a Kawasaki Vulcan 750, but find myself riding the Zuma more than both of them together. My only issue with it is that it is not 150cc. Once in a while I need to hop on the interstate for a few miles, to get somewhere, and it is not legal there. So far I have not been caught. I have 2 other scooters, a Stella and a Vino 125. Since I got the Zuma, they mostly sit. I have to take them out and ride them around the block once a week to keep them from deteriorating. I will keep the Stella forever, it is a 2 stroke, and they are no longer available. But it is not reliable enough to ride long distances. I'd like to sell the Vino, but it is worth more than I could get out of it, and doesn't take up much room. I may eventually trade it for a freeway legal scooter. I also have a custom built XT225, but I mainly use that as a dirt bike, being street legal just makes it easier to get to the dirt. So it rarely gets ridden.

My hat's off to ya!
My son's zuma is more fun than my big bikes. I like borrowing it every chance I get. After seeing this, I am tempted to get 4 scoots and park the big bikes for a while. Keep up the good work!

Scooters really are just about more fun than you should be allowed to have on two wheels. One of my buddies who has a beautiful Aprilia sport bike of some sort just rode from LA to San Diego on his Vespa last weekend because the weather was nice and he could. Tony also is known to do 800 miles days to get to where he wants to ride on the big bike, so he's pretty much at both ends of the spectrum and digs the scooter just as much as the big bike.
We'll always have at least one scooter in the garage - they are just too much fun. Granted this is my 250 Helix, but we're up over 7500ft here. ![]() jdg

Well the time to let the Zuma go has come. I know that I am going to regret it but right now I just can't justify having 2 bikes in the garage.

Justify??
Now that's just sad.
What's to justify? I have a trash can and a truck and I can't justify either one but I use both.

That's sad. I can't imagine being without a scooter. If I ever do get rid of mine, it will be to get a bigger scooter. I have six bikes, all registered, insured, and ridden. They are all paid for, the registrations are cheap, and so is the insurance. For all 6 bikes, it costs around $300 a year to insure them. And I have room. The Vulcan is in the garage, the Goldwing is on the back patio under a cover, the XT225 is in a shed in the back yard, and the 3 scooters are in what used to be the living room, but is now the "scooter" room.

Had a nice ride on the Zuma today. Had to make a quick run to Home Depot for a shelf bracket.

2 bikes
4 bikes That sure would be nice. Problem is that real life gets in the way. Money, job, family, sports, parking space. They all add up to not enough reasons to own 2 bikes. For the life I am living right now, 1 bike is plenty. |
