Sounds great! And of course, all bikes welcome! As I've said since the first Shindig, if you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed!

I'll be riding a big KTM 990 most of the weekend, I"m hoping we get some bigger bike again this year. I like taking the HW1 loop up to the Echo trail. I think we have a short cut this year as well, so it won't be quite as much boring stuff west of the trail.

bdnees/advswede - I put both of you on the "IN" list, check out the first post for camping/sign up info.

I have a question about lookout towers. Are they worth checking out? Mainly the Cloquet lookout tower and Skibo lookout tower. Do they even exist still?
From Forest Road 102 by Cloquet Lake, just west of Finland is there a trail heading straight south to Forest Road 397?
I'm just looking at maps and trying to fiqure out a fun way to get to Gilbert Minnesota. I'd really like to try and get to the Iron Range offroad recreation area this year.

Most have been torn down but some exist. There is one north of me that has been converted for sattelite use. The depot museum in Two Harbors has a display on where all of them were. The cloquet lake one no longer exists. There is a rest area where the skibo tower once was.

I'll add that the skibo overlook is still a really nice view, even without a tower.

Reserved a Cabin For the whole week of the Shindig at "Our Place" in Finland (running water and kitchen, warm and dry) on the banks of the Baptism River. I hope this doesn't make me an outcast. We still will be at Wildhurst for some campfire BS. I plan on doing some family stuff Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with hopefully a ride squeezed in here or there.
I had completely forgot they had cabins there for rent until today. Their cabins aren't on any internet searches I did., but they still have two cabins left if anyone or group is interested. The rates are reasonable.
My daughter wants to go on a ride with me this year. I hope a group will be going to Pigeon Falls and the old Border crossing again and I don't crash as much as last year or the year before.

I just got back from Our Place, Larry (the owner) just mentioned you booked the suite! Good call, it's a nice place.

FWIW, here's a shot of Our Place this afternoon. There were some motorcyclists out front, but they road strange motorcycles with odd skis on the front of them. Weird.

The family would love a picture of the cabin if you get a chance

Scrubbed that broken trail waypoint out of the files.

Last time I saw C-zulu he had a broken headlight on his CRF450X. I thought this genuine Honda aftermarket kit may be a solution for his broken lens or for anyone else who wants a bike that can hold a GPS, MP3 player, Phone, coloring book, and has extended Fuel Range. I just think the bike is really cool. I'd love just to be able to ride it to work!!!
