If there is a "next week", we'll be there. It sounds like Paul may even run in the studded class.

It was a bit cold today but the racing was great.

The speedway bikes are always fun to watch.

Even stupid quads are fun on the ice.

Lots of races.

Sounds like they will race next weekend to make up for the cancelled race.

I stopped by Raul's house the other day and left with something exciting... Studded Tires!!!

They were a bitch to install, but they look great on the KX500 that I just got running. I spent all day today making fender brackets and mounting them:

I've heard there's going to be another race this Sunday and I'm planning on riding this bike.

Thanks Raul! Thanks CObob!

It started around .50 cents/cc...

A few years ago I applied for a life insurance policy. One of the questions was "do you race motorcycles?". I had a long discussion with the company about this because I was planning a trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats to run a couple bikes. It was determined that since I was not competing for a monetary prize or a world record, that I was eligible for the life insurance policy.

I wonder what they would think about me racing the KX?

Glad you found this thread, Trevor. I know you've been interested in the progress on the KX and this will be the first time I really get to see what it will do.

So an old friend (the guy that taught me to ride motorcycles) emailed me a couple days ago to brag about a Land Cruiser that he recently bought. I, of course, gave him shit about it and tried to make a case that my Honda Pilot was a better buy as a family vehicle. He, of course, called me a pussy for driving a Honda Pilot. So I defended my manlyness by telling him that I planned to ice race a KX500 this coming Sunday. At first he down played it, but after thinking about it a while he called me with some genuine concern for my well being. He was a little confused why I would try such a thing, but at the same time he didn't want to discourage me from it because he was curious about exactly how dangerous this might be. I told him I'd have someone take a video.

Paul, maybe you can make a bumper sticker for your Pilot that says "My Other Ride is a KX500", you know to bring up your street cred with the soccer moms! j/k of course. Yeah i have been following this, would love to try this sometime and glad to see the green beast is alive. I hope to hook up for a day or so in late March at White Wash and maybe give it a run! Good luck on Sunday. Drink a lot of beer this week and eat very unhealthy. The added weight should help with traction, or at least you will enjoy your last meals!

The races are on!

I emailed Harry's Roamers to ask if the races were on for this Sunday.

The KX started on the second kick this morning without injuring me or itself.

Are you racing? If so, what number will you be running?

Not racing, just spectating. Thinking about giving it a go next year.

Well I've got a couple bikes with #83 and I'll be wearing a suit, so stop by and say hi.
