I was happy to hear this was on! But then I checked my schedule - and it ain't in the cards. I was looking forward to seeing you lot, and I probably will - but not at Cap'n Rick's this spring.

Just try not to actually destroy the place so I get a chance to show next year!

No, I'mma not be on the Mighty XT! I may wear the buffalo horns though....

Maybe we could rendezvous in Rifle, head down 550, then cut south through Bisti, down to Crownpoint, over to Torreon, swing north of Jemez Hot Springs and come out in Pojoaque?

There would be a possibility of bivouacking at Jemez and soaking, or maybe detouring and camping in Chaco if you wanted to break it up into 2 short days....

You could also do Gateway and the Dolores canyon rather than 550 if you wanted to stop at Chaco. but then it might be tempting to do Monument Valley, the Dugway, Valley of the Gods, and cut across from Chinle....

(Maybe I just need to take a week off and hit Rick's in the middle of it somewhere.)

Jeeze Doug I want to get there the same WEEK! Last year I went 550 to Durango, then Pagosa and south from there. Made really good time. This year I will try not to wreck within earshot of the party Personally I would rather haul to get there, then explore that area more since i don't get down there much. Plus I have to shmooze Rick so he'll let me ride the 350 again...

We are definitely "in". Will be bringing two two fiddies and a GasGas. Are you sure we can't ride on the stairs?

Is this shindig in Santa Fe? Can't remember.

What, you don't like 12 hour riding days?

sissy girls!

You do have a point, it's a short run to go up the High Road and tool around the Sipapu area. That's a lot of fun riding. Some of those roads are pretty curvy though... pretty scary stuff.
