Well actually it's easy. I used the Touratech mount that goes onto the four handlebar mount bolts and it has worked perfectly now for about 3000km.

The top holes with the rubber well mounts are already the fairing, and I drilled two holes for the bottom two. Took about half an hour!






Here it is in action, albeit with the older crappy Touratech dashboard.

Is this solution stable enough to mount the GPS or not?
The reason you added the braces is the GPS weight or the new dashboard?

We have had riders from 5ft 7" to 6ft 4" ride the bike and all of them said it is great to control the air flow to them or over the bike.

Work hard, ride harder.

Maybe... still in box ready to install but still trying the Mirage 2. Might be a new windshield coming along. TT is just in a box - waiting to be called into duty some day maybe soon.

What don't you like about the Mirage? do you think the TT is that much better?

Hi, yes that is the latest 2013 screen...works really well. Not compared it to the previous model to say exactly what the differences are...but would think they would be slightly different. I also have the Desierto on my R1200GSA and the only difference is it comes with a bar to mount GPS but doesn't have the manual adjusters for the screen position...easy mod.

I love the Desierto screen/fairing. It works well and really does give the bike an aggressive look.
