I'll have to figure out why it does that. Same way I used to link and they never used to do that.

Feckin ear popping. Everytime I open the page I hear a KTM barking.

I can use them to ride. But I have good AMA's and my wallet is not ready to take the hit yet.

A set of MF1's would cost more than 1/2 of what I paid for my bike.

Fair enough. I agree, it's a big hit which is why I learned to build my own tires. I wish I haven't spent as much as I have, but it's really the only thing that keeps me sane in the winter. I don't even get out that much, but I love it when I do. Better than a parked bike.

Stupid n00b question

I noticed from the pictures that some folks have what appears to be an extra fender and some do not, some have them over the front wheel, others have both covered. Are these to prevent the wheels from shredding other bikes and people on the course, or to protect the rider in case the bike takes a nap on the ice?

Or both?

Please forgive the stupid n00b question

You got it.

Required for sanctioned racing. Good idea for just playing.

Mostly to keep from shredding others. A bit to help yourself when crashing.

Before I had ice fenders, I would back off of others in corners and give way. Didn't feel like grating others.

You should see the back leg of Joe H's leathers fron a no fender guy cutting into him.

And, I don't think anything would stop the MF1's fron removing some outer layers of stuff.

That is why you will not see any close pics of Gas doc or Boomer on my camera.

fenders aren't a bad idea, and any protection is better than nothing. but if you come off the bike you're still very likely to be fucked

It's always a bit disconcerting to me when I kick my back tire after hitting a snow bank or slush ball.

And in other news I got word that my FMF Fatty is now undented, straightened and taking a Ride back to WI from Pacific Crest Pipe repair.

This should be an easy fix for them. I should get one of those pipe guard thingy's
