Questor tested...
Hey All.
Now that Eric has let this out of the bag... (Sorry bad pun there) I can tell you that he spent a lot of time and energy designing bags to meet the needs of ADVriders like us. He figured out what types of gear, and how much we carry, and how we like to pack our bags, and then worked to make luggage that suited our uses. I used several prototypes last year, and based on honest feedback, each generation of these bags got better... I can vouch for the fact that these bags are easy to load and attach to the bike, are very durable in a 15 mph crash, and waterproof in a day of heavy rain. ![]() Here are a few more pictures. ![]() ![]() Add the external bottle holders and you can carry: - Chain lube - 33oz of camp stove fuel - 33oz motor oil - Evening victory beer. ![]() This way all the fuels and lubes are on the outside of your luggage in case they leak.. Q~

I'm enthusiastic about these. I've had remarkable service from my current set of Expedition Dry panniers. As I've noted before, the stiffening system on the Expedition Dry is hopeless. I eventually threw out the stiffener and learned to pack the system so it rode well. From the description, it appears this issue had finally been addressed in the new bags.
With a set of these, I'd be able to lighten up the load on the top rack and pack everything a significant distance lower on the frame. Looking forward to seeing them in yellow!

No, but if they are not offered in yellow, I'll be in one hell of a snit. There's a great difference in looking cool and being cool -- or alive. I've taken the last truck up me arse because "I couldn't see you."

Ned Johnson's Ontario Roaming Rally with Wolfies
Packed up for a tour in Ontario, spring 2012. Excellent riding with some well-selected gear. The Wolfman panniers didn't leak a drop, and held tight to the bike in heavy rain. No complaints at all.
![]() There are some that may criticize the Wolfman gear for not being slash-proof or whatever. You can go with that, if you wish. In my experience as a raft guide, these style bags just flat-out work. The PVC material is amazingly durable and abrasion resistant. They weigh nothing. They are dry, and hold all your gear in moderately secure storage. I've not been disappointed yet by the Wolfman. If you can't fit it in, you're packing too much. More of that: ![]() These ran the TAT:

YMMV but a set of these would be far more effective than a couple bumblebee bags imo. http://www.hyperlites.com/ |

+1 on the quality.
I have the Expedition Panniers, and love them. Never had a leak. Their lightness- for something so solid is brilliant I love the D-rings on these though and would love to have them on mine. Also- knowing that they will fit perfectly on the Wolf Racks I have on my F650GS- these would be a great second set of bags for a longer trip where I wanted to carry more- lower.

I've got something like that LED system but far less expensive from Whitehorse Gear. I ride a KLR sometimes on extended tours, which makes me frugal. I'm not saying that the yellow bags are the ultimate solution in hi-viz. I'm saying that every bit helps.

The bags look great. What is the approximate weight per pair? Thanks...
