There was when I went thru last July. We didn't stop for fuel, but I think the same folks run the market, restaurant, and pumps.
Here is the number I had for the restaurant 775-285-4019 -M

There is some great riding and remote old mining artifacts, east of Gabbs between hwy 361 and hwy 376. You can ride to Berlin(state park), Grantville and Ione. East of 376 there is Manhattan and Belmont. Not quite ghost towns but some are close.
There is a mountain range between the 2 highways. It has a wilderness area in the middle, but you can go over NF17 to some gold mine remnants at Ophir? or around to the south on NF18. That gets sandy around Cloverdale Ranch. I remember camping off NF17 in a campground on a bubbling brook and thinking I was in the Sierra Nevada's. Watch your gas gauge. There will be gas in Tonopaph and there was gas either in Carver or Round Valley. It was a while ago.

Been through there a few times already on the road. Gives you a new meaning of the word "remote". Also, want to check out Ichthyosaur state park. |

Gabbs Gas
There is gas in Gabbs, just out there a couple days ago. Ichy Park is right there. Take the summit over into Reese River Valley and camp up in one of the many canyons with water, Cow, Ledbetter, Stewart, Big Creek, etc....

While I have been in Belmont Nevada twice, I did not take the road north to Hwy 50. Monitor valley has some interesting spots.
