Hard to get a schedule from any web site for 2013 Daytona 200. Information plain suck for bike races. Plenty of info on the web about cole slaw racing and such.

OK. I called 1800 Pit Shop and ordered my tix to Daytona Speedweek races.

03/14- Flat Track races
03/15- Supersport races
03/16- Daytona 200

$99.00 for tix to all events above including free camping.

As expected, the ticket agent told me that camping was free to bikers with tickets at the Geico Caveman Camping area. It was previously called Orange Tent Camping area.

I guess that I am all set.

I will be arriving the evening of 03/13 from Charlotte. 500 miles and I am itching to get to Daytona.

Anyone else arriving in that timeframe and camping?

Humm maybe a last min trip, what dates are people going and how do you reserve a site on the infield?

Actually, I wanted to buy the tix this year ahead of time as we arrived late in the night last year and no one knew anything about free camping and after talking to about 4 or 5 gate agent, one of them remembered and let us through although we had to buy like a 5 days pass which was a waste of money and time as I was only gouing to stay for 3 nights.

I was also told today that I can buy event insurance in case I need to cancel up to March 10th without penalty.

I guess I will see as the weather is the only unknown. Last year was decent weather but the year before that I rode through hard swirling rain for about 4 hours. Almost turned back........

Just buy a ticket to next day race.

This is what I found on one site:

Sat., March 9 – Daytona Supercross

March 10-11 – Daytona Amateur Supercross

March 14-16 — Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing Series: AMA Pro Superbike; AMA Pro SuperSport; AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Series.

March 14-15 — Daytona AMA Pro Flat Track (two nights of racing)

Sat., March 16 — Daytona 200: Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing Series season opener.

As long as you have next day race tix.

I called 1800 Pit Shop again just to confirm that I can camp the night of Sat, 03/16 since the Daytona 200 is the last event of the Speedweek. The agent had to verify but came back and told me that yes they will allow ticket holders to the Daytona 200 to camp the final night at Geico Primitive Camping area for free.

That will allow me to watch the races, party one final night and head out on Sunday morning.

thinking about heading down from Charleston, SC with another rider. Not 100% sure yet but will post up as we firm up plans. Thanks for the info on camping at the track. I was going to call the track since we figured finding a hotel this late woiuld be out of the question.

I am planning on coming down for Bike Week from West TN, My schedule is pretty open for a departure date and how long I might stay. I plan on staying at the track as my main reason for coming down is the week full of racing. Open to possibly riding along with a fellow member. If not I hope to meet a few guys at the track. I'll be on a Honda set up with luggage etc I use for sport touring. Look for the ADV decal.

I will be arriving on 03/13 probably by 8:00 or 9:00pm. Again, for those of you arriving after the ticket booth closing, you may want to purchase your tix ahead of time to prevent gate noobs from selling you a entire week pass just to get into the speedway after hours to the Geico Primitive campsite. As I said, that's exactly what happened last year although we were able to get a refund for tickets that we did not use or need from ticket office during regular business hours. Fortunately, that was the only issue and keep mind that these after hours gate Noobs don't seem to know anything other than "buy a weeks pass or you don't get in" mentality. Oh! and sorry, we don't have a daily pass to sell tonight
