I found a trail in Tobaccoville beside an abandoned rail line that appears to be used regularly by ATVs!

I live & work in Winston. Always open to riding with some new friends! Post up any get-togethers, love to meet some of you. Not done any off road riding but would like to give it a try. Got a 650 V-Strom. Some day I'd like to have the equipment & gear to do the camping thing with my bike.

Was able to get out for a decent ride this past Friday. I made my way to Elkin then took 268 over to Traphill and up 21 almost to Lowgap, here's a pic from the lookout heading up the mountain.
![]() I passed a guy on a Kawasaki DP on 21 heading towards Lowgap, on the way back in Booneville I saw a guy on a sweet KTM that looked to be all farkled out. Was a good day for riding, at least for me. As I was heading out of town I saw a guy on a Harley run all up into the back of a truck on Reynolda road. Took three of us to get his bike up and out of traffic. I didn't see the accident take place so I didn't stick around very long, just long enough to see that the rider was sitting up on his own talking to the paramedics. Hope he's alright and can get back on his bike soon. Cory |

- Were you on the Honda 250 going E on 67? If so, I was on the KTM, thanks and working on setting things up. If you haven't already checked out LostRider threads. He's modded up a 250 real nice though they look to be a nice lightweight ride as is. Didn't know there were so many "locals" and plan on hitting AAA at some point for some big bikeTAT practice.

That was me on the Honda. Small world, but then again 60 degrees in the dead of winter I would be surprised if I didn't see people out riding. I've been following lost rider's posts, he's got his CRF set up nice, I'm in the process of getting mine sorted.
