Ironic that my old KLR ran cold and required the "thermo bob" and this runs hot and requires a "thermo mark". I sent you an email earlier, make it happen! |

Re-posted for feedback?
Mark, any possibility of making a mounting bracket or complete cooler kit for the DR350? I know there are more than a few that would buy them. The oil cooler was an option for the 350 but they are pretty rare to find a OEM kit. I will commit to 2 oil cooler kits or even mounts.
Thanks Cory

cooler kit
Just thought I'd post a quick review of my experience with my new cooler thus far:
I received my stuff a couple weeks ago, but just got around to installing it today. I must say, I'm very impressed with the workmanship and quality of the parts. The instructions are excellent, and installation was quite easy. Took me maybe 2-3 hours, but I'm sure it could be done much quicker. I opted for the thermostat control and natural aluminum color. I haven't fired her up yet, but am optimistic that everything will work well. ![]()

Emergency By-pass kit available
I am offering an emergency oil cooler by-pass kit.
I case of damage to your oil cooler, you can easily make a repair and continue your ride. ![]() Includes: • A stainless steel, barbed "U" bend tube. • Two end caps to keep junk from getting lodged in the tube while it is bouncing around in your tool bag. • Two American made stainless steel hose clamps. The clamps are slightly smaller than the black ones supplied with the kit. They fit the oil line and are able to clamp down to 1/4 inch so you can use them for other repairs like fuel lines, etc. • Comes in a 4 mil plastic zip-lock so you can keep the kit in your tool bag or pocket. Price: $20.00 Including shipping in the USA. ![]() ![]() Cheers ![]() Mark

Did some redneck engineering on my cooler today, since I don't have the money for a bypass valve
![]() ![]() It's still flippin' cold here and my oil wouldn't go over 75 C yesterday (170 F) on a ride with no highway miles, and it took ages to get to that temperature. Your cooler works too well Mark Made the shield out of a dvd case, fastened with simple rubberized twisties. I can untie them by hand and stick the shield in my toolbag should it be needed. Works like a charm !
