side question, would a KTM 690 fairing work on a KTM 640 Enduro? Reasoning being, I have a 640Enduro and planning to upgrade to a KTM 690 I wouldn't mind getting the 690 fairing and use it on my 640E, and when the 690E comes to me, swap the fairing. Any chances you have the KTM 690 fairing mounting point pictures? |

1. Congraulations you won!! Bit of a 'balls up' on my part there!! Now rectified ![]() 2. Nope it doesn't actually move, but I am going fix some rubber hose on the brake line, just in case 3. It's a 12v double usb charger for my iphone and compressor, so the usb plug is very small in comparison to a 12v plug Cheers Harty

No photos yet of the fastening points for the new one. Email me if you want the installation instructions ( britanniacomposites@shaw.ca )on the existing one, although it's a bit irelavent if your looking at the new one, because it fits differently at the bottom. There's no cutting or permanent alteration to either bike.

I've had the globe go on the low beam HID unit, the markings on it, "A1DA HID 35W" aren't bringing up a globe spec on the internet so I can replace it. Anyone on here know where I can get one?

New Lynx ready to go !!
Well, it's been a long time and a lot of work, considering how similar the new Lynx looks to the original ! but by the time I was finished, there wasn't a single surface that remained the same !
Here are some shots of it in different colours, but none mounted to a real bike yet. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The fairings will start to go out to the guys who have them backordered this week. Although the website still shows the older version, all colour choices, decals, light spec etc remain the same as does the Price, so ordering can still be done from the website. The only additional items on the new Lynx is the optional stone guard ( $38) and the choice of clear or tinted screen. Hope you like it ! Cheers Ian

Still looking for a bike to use, but it will definitely be a version of this fairing.

Looking good! Is there any way to mount that stone guard to the old version?

My older generic does not have as flat a middle divider as that new looks to have.

I haven't figured out how yet, but that's mainly because I haven't had time to think it through. There's no doubt it could be made to fit, but I think you would need to be the 'handy' type. One of the main issues is how to make it reasonably easy to remove if needed. AS you can see, I've used threaded inserts, so it's easy to remove, but without them it would be difficult to keep accessing the back of the fairing. Cheers Ian

Headlight protectors
Are the self-adhesive 80mm Lamin-X covers with the 20mil thick clear Vinyl still available?
Any particular reason for offering the metal grid? It reminds me of the one I had on my Uly headlight - great for "asteroids," not so much for "meteors!" Were there many breakages or other problems with the Lamin-X covers protectors? An email sent regarding questions on an order. Will also PM.

So, my view is that the vinyl protectors still do the job well and the rock guard is a visual addition. To give you some idea of the feedback, there are now 40 Lynx's on order and all but 2 have ordered the rock guards. Cheers Ian
