is there a replacement for Castrol Metal Parts Cleaner?
I love Castrol Metal Parts Cleaner...but its discontinued. I called castrol. There's no replacement from them.
Do any of you guys have an idea what it was made of? Maybe another brand replacement? I just loved that stuff way better than brake or carb cleaner.

Made of....????
There you go, looks like still available overseas just like quite a few Castrol products not available in North America. Better MSDSs over there anyway. http://www.partinfo.co.uk/files/1786...sol%20MSDS.pdf

Made of, I meant what solvent. I was going to look for a substitute. That stuff so so fantastic. Spray it on, thick grease and grime just goes away! Its a miracle spray.

Thanks for the link. Propan-2-ol, hydrogenated naptha and pentane!
Must be the aquatic hazard that makes it not worth it to sell here

Pine-Sol
I've started using Pine-Sol for degreasing although it will discolour aluminum. I just use it neat or cut 50-50 put the parts in and leave them for day or two.
Does a great job and doesn't have the environmental consequences of other products. Don't know about more exotic metals, however, so be careful. Cheers, Tony
