Good thing I just had pos-trac installed on mine. I wanted to do 4x4 but too much coin for me.
Oh yea. I'm sourcing axles as we speak.

Congrats!
I know. I couldn't believe it. I called the guy to arrange pickup and he said the same thing. He also said they have a sister van to that one with 600k on the clock. So I guess they have been taking care of them.

OK, I never looked at the last Van that I posted, it did seem like a good deal, but I had reservations about it as it lived on the north Oregon Coast.

Then today I see this..............................

I just need to stay away from this thread and craigslist

I'm looking to transform my conversion van with useless ceiling lights into something similar to THIS , just more reliable

thanks,

Any decent hot rod shop can do the Ujoint kit

I know what I had to pay to get a clean, decently appointed 05 6.0 XLT passenger van that didn't have a zillion miles on it. For 1000 bucks I will take 1 to have as a spare, when can I come get it?

Thanks, I'm discussing with few shops right now. I wanted to find a shop willing to do the whole thing, versus just the 4x4 conversion then look for someone for the rest.
I wished there were more salvage yards for RVs around here...

Wow, that van looks nice I drove a van with that setup, and it was slow, but managed an average of 22mpg with it. Oh, and it is quiet, there's barely a hint of being a diesel cruising at 55mph.

damn that's cool.. But just keep in mind that the 6.2 will need an aftermarket turbo system of some sort otherwise it will be a complete dog especially at altitude. Also they get a bad rap because of the fuel system but it you replace the injection pump with a quality unit it should be good for a long long time...
