Stolen klr 650

Morning folks,

Sad day for me as I head outside my door to find no more motorcycle. Please keep an eye out for a beat-up hand-painted yellow plastics KLR (2000) with a large white plastic IMS fuel tank, and fake "Caterpillar" stickers on front and sides. It also has a black plastic top box (Action Packer) with a grey lid.

In case it goes for part, look for someone selling a stayintune exhaust, a custom Moab shock (red spring), tall windshield, sheepskin seat cover, etc.

Here are a couple of pics:

The bike was parked outside on the street, steering lock but that is it - I was told Melbourne a pretty safe city but I should know better there are thieves anywhere. It was steering locked and I see no sign of breakage on the ground. I suspect a quick lift on a ute.

Plate number 1I-5WH

If you see anything call 0417 951 605

Also posted this on the Aussie KLR650 thread.

There really are some shit forms of human life out there........

I'm in NSW but will keep an eye out, always looking on Fleabay, Gumtree etc for KLR stuff - you never know.

Wonder what is a suitable punishment is for the thieves???.................. Rest assured it is definitely NOT what they will get if caught.

Best of luck

Make sure it's reported to the whallopers (you never know, it might turn up) and all other relevant agencies. Some forums have dedicated areas for listing stolen bikes. It's worth looking around.

You might also consider a chain anchor that sets into concrete.

edit: like this http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...nd-Anchor.aspx

If you find the pricks who stole it... stab them in the heart with a long screw driver.

(If that makes you squeamish, shoot them in the face)

Here's a stolen bike register at another (Australian) bike forum. It might be worth putting it up there as well.

I've been looking at everything that looks remotely like it I see passing through Orbost.Motorcycle thieves are just a little bit worse than the normal thieving pricks in society.Hope the Karma bus runs clean over the fucker that took it.

I'm a bit partial to staking them down and administering several well placed but deep cuts, and let them bleed out!!

Well if you're going to stake them down anyway why not do it over a meat ant's nest and pour honey over their nether regions. Might as well let them serve as a warning to other would-be thieves.
